Hello
I'm trying to find the most direct route option/s to go from Lucerne to Munich - departing Lucerne about 12:45pm or so.
What would be the choices?
Many thanks in advance!

The most direct route is via Zurich, the official suggested intinery is to take the 12:25 train from Luzern - but that only gives you 8 minutes to change at Zurich and that can be a daunting station if you are not used to busy european railways. There is an earlier departure from Luzern at 12:09 that gives a more time at Zurich. The second train arrives Munich main station at 17:04. The whole plan also runs 4 hours later. In between the various travel planners will give options that are much more complicated and also longer (and more expensive if you don't have Interrail).

Thanks very much mistersteve!
Unfamiliarity with the stations, platforms and language are indeed a concern when trying to catch a train that’s booked on a super saver ticket.
Will look at an earlier time from Lucerne to Zurich.
Many thanks again!
